St Lukes Episcopal Church Merritt Island

Each year for more than 30 years, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church has held a church fair to benefit the Central Brevard Sharing Center. All the proceeds from the event  go directly to the Sharing Center. Members of the church (and their neighbors) during the year pile away attic treasures and old books.  Beautifully hand made quilts are raffled off.  Plants are grown all year long, in anticipation of a plant sale. The baked goods table, laden with delights, made by the women and men of the congregation, is a popular shopping stop.

All of the year’s work culminates in a one day event, with booths piled high with attic treasures, plants, toys, books, crafts, raffles, and food!  Baked goods and homemade soups are sold for lunch along with burgers and hot dogs.

And of course, there is plenty of entertainment for the children!  Sometimes a paintball range or a bounce house, face painting or last year, pony rides!

The historic chapel is open for people to tour  and perhaps, reflect for a few minutes on their own.

It is incredibly gratifying to know that all donations go directly to a partner in the community that helps our brothers and sisters in need.
